GREAT place to salmon fish on the Pulaski River! It is worth the extra money to get away from the crowds in the public access locations. Guides and staff are excellent and very helpful. We stayed at the Estuary Lodge and fished the DSR property for three days the week of Oct 8. The fish were running well, and we almost limited out every day. So worth the extra money to get on the property and avoid the crazy crowds. We've gone to the DSR and stayed in one of their lodges three years in a row, and next year we will be back. Highly recommended.
Fishing is excellent, price is outrageous. If you live in the area I am sure there are honey holes all over. I come up for 4 days a year so I spend the money and get some amazing fishing in with less than half the crowd as the public pools. I don’t stay in the DSR hotels, they are over the top expensive. I stay in cheap hotels in the area or I camp.
I'm 65 and one of your river patrol guys walked right thru my nephew and almost knocked me in river(September 12/13 2023). Rude! Other patrol guide seemed like he was under the influence. Trails need maintenance.
They definitely cater more to guides. Plenty of free fishing elsewhere. A shame we pay for these stocked fish(NYS resident).

Didn't stay there. Fished there for 25 years. Prices went through the roof. There trying to make it so called private fishing area. I see charging to fish but 95.00 C'mon. Fishing is supposed to fun not emptying your wallet
Very unprofessional. Paid to fish this private section of river, walked a mile downstream to find we couldn't fish a large section because of a "corporate event". Would have been nice if someone mentioned that when we signed in! Paid for a full day but left early due to the presence of more anglers then fish. We went to a couple public spots like the ball park and actually found less people fishing there! Point being, don't expect to get the privacy you're paying for, better off fishing for free upstream
My wife and I had an awesome time at the DSR this past week. The entire Staff where just great.
They were friendly and helpful at putting us in the right areas to catch some beautiful steelhead.
The grounds and trails are well kept.
The fishermen are more than willing to share their help and what they are using.
We will definitely be back !!
Great fishing! Great staff! Absolutely love this place! Don't believe the bad reviews. Fishing is just that...fishing. That's why we don't call it catching. Ask the staff when you arrive where the fishing is the best and what the best technique is to catch them. They are always glad to help.
